Laws of the Gulf States

The laws of the Gulf States are characterized by their highly changeable nature, because notably of

 the following events:

-- Successive policies of privatisation,
-- The opening to foreign direct investment

-- Accession of the Gulf States to the World Trade Organization,
-- Increased impact of the globalization onthe economy of the Gulf States

have resulted in a revision and appropriate adaptations in all areas of the law of Saudi Arabia. These changes in the law of Saudi Arabia are still underway and will extend over several years.

These pages aim to summarize a review recent changes of the laws of the Gulf States, which could have a significant  or specific impact on the business environment in the Gulf States or pose challenges to negociators.
